The Hon. B. F. Bollard (Minister' of Internal .Affairs); arrived in Auckland yesterday from Rotorua, arid he will leave for Wellington to-night. The Hon. E. A. After nineteen years' service, the Town Clerk at Hamilton, Mr. E. J. Davey, last night,tendered his resignation, which was accepted with great regret, states a Press Association message. Glowing tributes were paid to his past services by the Mayor and all the councillors. Mr. W. L. Waddell, assistant Town Clerk; was appointed acting Town Clerk. The ■ vacancy caused by: the retirement of Mr.- E.. J. Wilson (physical director of the V.M.C.A.), has been filled by the appointment of Mr. Frank J. Rogers, who has been physical director for the Wellington, Hbbart, and Brisbane associations (telegraphs '' The Post's" Auckland correspondent). He was a member of the original physical training instruction staff of the Australian 'Military. Fbrces, and organiser of the work in the Education Departments of .Queensland and .Western Australia. Overseas, he was brigade supervising officer in the A.I.F. at Codford, organiser and supervisor of the remedial training at Weymouth, at the A.I.F. Invalid Depot, and chief instructor for the Australian Corps in the physical and recreational training school at Butbencon, Belgium. . «
