RAFFLES AND LOTTERIES
SYNOD DEOBS THE SUBJECT.
(By Telegraph.—Pross Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. Taking the view that a resolution on the subject was unnecessary, and possibly harmful, the Anglican Synod discontinued the adjourned debate on the motion deprecating the lottery or raffle as a means of raising money for the church.
