CHANGE-OVER PROGRESS

KARORI BEFORE CHRISTMAS,

Change-over work is proceeding at a steady rate in the Island Bay district, and from there the men will move out to Karori, probably making a fair impression upon this district before Christmas. Karori is develop:ng at a remarkable rate, bare paddocks disappearing as such month by month, and consequently the district's demand for power is rapidly climbing. The new houses, of course, are being wired in conformity with the new requirements, and tho change-over in those places will be quickly effected, not much more than the changing of globes and switchboards, but there are other houscß in this big district, and tho change-over will be a fairly long job.
