The recent Spring Carnival which has had so successful a run in the Town Hall will | terminate in a danoe, which is to be held at the Town Hall Concert Chamber tomorrow evening. Every possible attention has been directed by the committee towards making the dance one of the best for the season. Mrs. G. P. Aldridge's orchestra has been1 engaged, and a committee of ladies is attending to the supper.Ratepayers and residents of .Arr street and surrounding district are invited to attend the deputation to- the City Council on Thursday evening, when the following subjects wil be brought forward: Bituminising of Aro street, improvements of roads and footpaths, and improved lighting in many of the streets. Residents accompanying the deputation are requested to meet at the Town Hall at 7.20 o^clock,
