FLOODS RECEDING
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. The water is still thr.e feet deep on tho main road at Mercer, but the flood is now definitely receding. A heavily laden van tried to get through last night, but it failed, and was towed by horses For the third time since July tho timber mill has had to close owing to floods, resulting in much unemployment.
