Tho Minister said ■"that'he would consult the Minister of -"Customs'. ..,',,. He.was also requested to have tho 'Fruit Control Act amended in the clause ..regarding the referendum on local control,- -O' that 60 per cent, of those vot- • ■ ing.could carry the poll, instead of 60 • per cent, of those on the roll, as at ."present. ■■" Minister said that'the request was^not unreasonable, and ho would " attend, to it. It was further suggested that tho auctioneers be compelled to keep trust ' agpcraiits for the protection of clients. The Minister said that the matter was worth going into. Ho would refer it;to.,the Minister of Internal Affairs.
