WELLINGTON XI. v. THE COLTS,
The following teams have been chosen by Mr. K. Tucker (sole selector) for the match, Wellington Eleven v. The Colts, at tho Basin Reserve on Monday next (Labour Day):— Wellington Eleven.—H. M. M'Girr (captain), J. S. Hiddleston, M. Henderson, H. Lambert, J. S. Banks, H. J. Tattersall, B. J. Kortlang, W. J. R. Christopherson, AY. A. Baker, E! M'Lcod, and H. Prince, with A. Ronaldsou as -twelfth man. Colts.—F. T. Badcock (captain), ,K. James, C. O'Connor, Airey, Mackenzie, Leys, Hollings, B. Massey, L. Brown, Tucker, and Bilby, with W. Monkhouse as twelfth man. The hours of play will be as follow:— 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 1._5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Players unable to take part in the match must notify the selector before Friday morning next. Apart from the colts who received coaching last year, other players of promise will receive the attention of the coach (F. T. Badcock) this season. The local clubs have been invited to send likely colts to interview the coach at the practices during this week and next.
