The public will note with pleasure the names of those engaged to take the parts of the principal characters in Gounod's opera. Miss Kate Campion and Mr. Harison Cook, who have performed in this opera on numerous occasions with the Carl Rosa Opera Company, will sing the parts of Margarita arid Mephistopheles respectively. Mr. Ernest Drake of Dunedin, will sing the name part; Mrs. Alice Harris that of Siebel; whilst Mr. Hilton Osborne will double the parts of Valentine and Wagner. The final rehearsal will take place on Friday at 7.30 at St. John's Schoolroom, Dixon street. The box plan may be inspected at The Bristol.
