PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
SHAW AND M'INTOSH TO PLAY OFF,
Tlie concluding round of the semi-final of the profession championship took place yesterday afternoon, and the result is that A. J. Shaw and J. D. M'lntosh will play oft the final over 36 holes on Friday. Shaw started the second eighteen holes S up on H. R. Blair, and the match was easily won by Shaw. M'lntosh started his round 1 up on Moss. M'lntosh was 5 up' at the sixth, his card reading to there 534433. He went all over the place at "Hillside," Moss taking the hole in 4. Moss played the eighth iaultlessly in 4, M'lntosh playing a weak run-up shot. (Moss 3 down.) M'lntosh won the ninth in 4, as against Moss's 5, and the former holed a difficult two-yard putt round a baff-stymie at the tenth, for ;a 4. The eleventh was halved in 4. M'lntosh's second was short at the twelfth, but jhe missed the putt, halving the hole in 4. M'lntosh won the thirteenth, and Moss I the fourteenth. The fifteenth was halved jin 5, giving M'lntosh the game, _ and 3.
