Coatea, ■will bo given a semi-official farewell before his departure -for AVcllington this evening. Tlio function has been* arranged by tho executive of the Beform League, and is to take place at the station at 7 o'clock. Time did jnt permit of a public farewell being organised, as Mr. Coates only arrives by the Whangarei express at 6.12 p.m. from Matakohe, where he spent yesterday with his mother.
