STRIKE CHARGES WITHDRAWN
(By Telegraph.—Presi Association.) WHANGAREI, 7th September. At the Magistrate's Court, before Mr. Cutten, S.M., to-day, the adjourned hearing of the summonses against 149 miners of Wilson's Collieries at Hikurangi, who had been cited as taking part in an unlawful strike, was resumed. The inspector announced that the Miners' Union officials, on behalf of i the members, had given the Minister of Labour an assurance that they would not repeal the offence, and had expressed regret. In the circumstances he asked leave to withdraw the summonses. This was granted. ,
