PORT KEMBLA
The steamer Antinous, which arrived at Auckland from Cuba on Monday night, passed close to the steamer Port Kembla a few hours after she was wrecked at San Salvador, telegraphs "The Post's" Auckland correspondent. The Port Kembla had anchors laid out ahead and astern, and was unloading cargo into a salvage steamer alongside. The Antinous was on her way from Norfolk to Cuba to load her present cargo, and as her services were not required to aid the Port Kembla she continued on her voyage. It is stated that the place where the Port Kembla went ashore is the identical spot first sighted by Christopher Columbus when he discovered America.
