PEKIN, 6th September. Following many months of "incidents" caused by anti-British pickets at Canton, in which Britishers were in suited and searched when entering the Shameen from Canton, British marines on Saturday took possession of the British waterfront property, driving off the pickets. Three gunboats were assigned to the duty. The British Naval authorities are determined to prevent molestation in the future.
