KAWARAU DAM
GATES TO BE OPENED ON THURSDAY.

DUNEDIN, This Day. The Kawarau sluico gates will all be opened before 10 o'clock on Thursday morning. The ten gates will probably be opened singly to prevent a sudden outruuh of water. The larger number •f shareholders have already abandoned claims for the season. Those still working report better prospects every a«* " /.."-- ~" ■
