LOSS OF GRANDSTAND

STEPS TO HAVE IT REPLACED.

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.")

DUNEDIN, This Day. The preliminary steps have already been taken in regard to the rebuilding of the stand that was burned at the Wingatui Racecourse on Saturday. The Dunedin Jockey Club will have to makeshift with substitute accommodation for officials at the spring races next month, but this does not present any great difficulty, since the existing totalisator house can be used for some purposes, and the new stand will be ready for that meeting. The loss of £6000 by fire is not causing the club any great concern.
