MANUKA FROM MELBOURNE.
The Union Company's Manuka arrived In the stream at 2.45 p.m. yesterday from Melbourne direct, and berthed at No. 2 Queen's Wharf, at 4.5 p.m. The Manuka left Melbourne at noon on Wednesday last, line weather and smooth seas being experienced until Sunday, when a hard north-easterly blow was encountered, which backed to the north, causing a considerable sea. Rain also set In on Sunday afternoon. Yesterday mornMp'fine weather prevailed, and continued until enterIng port. The Manuka brought 130 passengers and a large cargo, which Included 3900 esses of citrous fruit for Wellington and South Island ports. The* vessel is timed to sail at 4 p.m. to-day for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff, and is to clear Bluff on Saturday for Melbourne.
