NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. Taranakl Oilfields, Ltd., report that the VVaiapu well Is down 1632 feet In hard shale. The bore passed through dry sand from 1608 feet to 1624 feet. The ten-inch casing Is down to 1594 feet.
