Amusing recollections of his early days in Thames were given by Mr. W. Blomfield on Thursday at tho reunion of the early residents of Thames. Speaking of his attendance at church, he explained that from being constantly leaned against, the sides of the seats had become encrusted with grime, and those formed a fine etching plate for an artistic small boy (states the "Auckland Star"). He never found the prayers or sermon dull, for ho drew tho people present till his father discovered tho source of his quietness, and the subsequent proceedings were of a personal and painful nature. When speaking on tho name of the association he advised those present not to call themselves Thames Old Girls, but Old Thames Girls, because the other title was so hard on' the boys of Thames. ,
