CHALIAPIN.

Chaliapin, the great artist who has conquered the audiences of the world, and who has made concert singing a powerful attraction, is coming to Wellington under the J. and N. Tait management for three concerts at the Grand Opera House, the first of which will take place on Thursday, 16th September. Chaliapin is a commanding figure, who immediately grips the attention of. his audience and holds them enthralled by his wonderful voice, remarkable acting ability, and unque personality. Chaliapin loves his art, and his greatest happiness is in singing. The preferential booking for the three -Wellington, concerts is now taking place at The Bristol up to Thursday next, and on Friday morning at 9 the ordinary plans will be opened to the public.
