HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE

Elton Black's Town Topws Revue Company having finished its season here, an all-vaudeville programme will be presented at His Majesty's Theatre this week, commencing this evening. The Veterans of Variety—all stars of the music halls of long ago, will head what should prove a very enjoyable combination of vaudeville artists. After a triumphal tour of the Australian circuit, these five great old-time favourites return with a new and wonderful presentation of the sentiment and humour that made our fathers laugh and cry more than 30 years ago. Many present-day artists might envy the voice of Florence Hinton; the art of George Campbell, as he revives memories with "The Man that Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo"; Jake Freidman, with his "one man opera," yodelling songs, and comic nursery rhymes; Arthur Slater, with his famous whistling numbers; and vivacious Lily Burnand, in costumes of the period when her songs achieved fame. Included in the programme are two artists who are making their first appearance in Wellington; Miss Rebe Kesslova, the talented gypsy violinist, and Rayna Carbette, a Russian singer. Lorna Lance and Co. and Drew and Romaine will complete the entertainment.
