A NARROW CORNER

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—l wish to draw attention to an urgent necessary improvement of the John street junction—viz., the corner on the east side of Adelaide road and Riddiford street. The extreme narrowness of the road between tram rails and kerb is very noticeable, and it is patent, with the everincreasing' traffic that a serious accident will happen if the street at that point is not widened. One has only to stand at the corner from 4 to 5.30 p.m. to view the extreme congestion that obtains and the awkwardness caused by the loading and unloading of trams, buses, etc. The number of vehicles at times makes it almost impossible for passengers to alight.— l am, CHANGE-OVEJI. 6th September.
