AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE
CONCERN AT PALMERSTON NORTH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. A special meeting of tho Chamber of Commerce discussed the position that has arisen in Parliament in opposition to the Agricultural College Bill. Resolutions were carried: (1) This meeting is strongly of the opinion that it is absolutely necessary that no delay should take place in establishing tho Agricultural College as set out by tho proposed Government Bill, following tho advice contained in Mr. Frank Hoath's valuable report, such being strongly supported by all representative farmers on this coast; (2) this meeting supports the contention of tho Auckland University Council regarding Government representation on the board, in that it be reduced from five to three members.
