Tho American schooner Columbia, now in the Napier roadstead, has been sold to an Auckland firm, who intond. fitting tho vessel with an engine, using her as a collier running between Newcastle and Auckland. Tho Columbia, which has been at Napier . for some weeks, attracted much attention owing to her graceful linos. She is a fourmaster, and was formerly owned by the Groat Company, Aberdeen, Washington, U.S.A. Her tonnage is 800 net. ]
