"VDTICE is hereby given that at a Spcc--i-" ial Meeting of the Makara County Council held on Friday, the 13th day of August, 1926, the following Resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on Friday, the 10th day of September, 1926, at noon, at the Council Chambers, Ballance street, Wellington:— RESOLUTION. That pursuant to and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 122, the Counties Act, 1920, and ir. accordance with Petition signed by the majority of Ratepayers within the district hereinafter mentioned, the Council of the County of Makara hereby resolves and declares by way of Special Order as fallows:— 1. The part of the County of Makara described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a separate rating district. 2. The name of the said district shall be the No. 1 Separate Rating Area. 3. Hereby makes and levies a Separate Rate of 5-16 of one penny in the pound upon the rateable (capital) value of all rateable property in the said area, for the purpose of defraying the annual charges (for electric current only) of lighting not more than sixteen street lamps and the cost of supervision necessary with the expenditure of making and levying such rate. 4. This Special Order shall take effect on the 16th day of September, 1926. SCHEDULE. The land is situated in the Horokiwi and Porirua Districts, and is part of Block XII. of the Belmont Survey District. It includes the whole of the lands comprised in the Paparangi Settlement, having a frontage to Aurora road; the whole of the lands within the County of Makara as shown on Deposited Plans numbered respectively 5259. 1658, 1721, 1462, Lots 1 to 10 of D.P. 2601 and Lots pt. 2, 3, and 4 pt. of D.P. 3010. Also the balance of the land comprised in Sees. pts. 10, 12, and 14, and not included in the aforementioned .subdivisions, and part sec. 1, Horokiwi District.
