Bail of £200 and two sureties of £100 was allowed. • . Bobert George Sadd; a labourer, aged 25, for drunkenness, was convicted and discharged, and for a breach of his prohibition order ho was ordered to pay; £2 12s medical expenses. A first offender for drunkenness was convicted and fined 10s, tho amount of his bail. John Bedwood, for boarding a" train. while it Was in motion, was fined 10s. Failure to close their shop at 1 p.m. on 31st July cost Adams, Ltd., motorcar agents, 20s. Best Brothers, of Ohariu, for selling milk deficient in butter-fat, were fined £3, 'in default seven days' imprisonment. Victor Frazer, a barman, ■ employed in tho Clarendon Hotel, was fined £2 for supplying liquor to an intoxicated man. A similar charge against the licenseo, Albert Dennis Bains, was dismissed. Lionel C. Bricrly was arrested in Petone yesterday, and charged before Mr. B. W. Short with failing to comply with tho terms ,of his probation order.' He was remanded to appear at Auckland.
