♦ ' SOUTH_.R_.IES FOEECASTED. During tho last 24 hours cold and changeable weather has continued, with rain in many parts. The winds have been southerly, moderate to strong, and the barometer has risen slow.ly. Moderate to strong easterly winds are expected northward of East Cape and Kawhia, south-easterlies, backing to northerlies, elsewhere. The' weather should be fair to cloudy, with scattered showers, on all the eastern coast. The barometer is rising.
