Vierkottcr, the Gorman who swam the Channel, announces that ho will return next year in an attempt to establish better time. Ho will also attempt to swim to Dover and back. He will bring his wife, who, he hopes, will boat Miss Ederle's time. Vierkotter, who is 25 years of ago, holds tho championship of the Bhine, in which he swam 66 miles with the tido in 10 hours 36 minutes. He uses the crawl stroke with strength and speed. His Channel swim amazed the experts.
