Eastern Southland A (5) boat South Canterbury (1). Though South Canterbury showed improved form, and made frequent attacks, they could not drive thorn home, thoir, hitting in the circle being poorly directed and lacking sting. Eastern, on the other hand, made few mistakes at the end of attacks, and though Mrs. Morrison, the Green goalkeeper, saved many hot shots she had to watch the ball go into the net five times. Miss Stewart opened the scoring for - Eastern, and it was not long before Miss Thorn had added v goal. There was no further score before half-time. Shortly after resumption Miss E. Blissett did some great work for South Canterbury and netted. Thereafter, though the Greens made repeated attacks, Eastern added three goals in quick succession, the scorers being "Misses Stewart- (2) .and Heaps. Desperate attempts by South Canterbury failed to increase their score. ■ ■ ■ ' Wellington (3) beat Southland B (2).
