Handley was fined £3 and 7s costs for failing to close her shop on the ■weekly half-holiday. Defendant is a confectioner, but sells cigarettes, and offered these for sale to an inspector. Fownes, J.P., at the Mount Cook Police Court this morning, one first offonder for drunkenness was fined 10s, the amount of his bail. At ...the Petono Police Court yesterday, before Messrs. J. Piper and T. Potts, J.P.s, William o'Sullivan was fined 10s for drunkenness, and £5 for resisting, the police, and Patrick Sharkey. was fined £3 for obstructing the police, during the arrest of O 'Sullivan.
