AIR NIGHT "LIMITED"

GERMAN SLEEPING CAR 'PLANE

FHES FROM BERLIN TO

CEOYDON.

(United Press Association. —Copyright.) (Australian-New Zealand Cable Assn.) LONDON, 30th August.

An historic advance in cross-channel flying was made to-night, when the first sleeping car 'plane arrived at Croydon from Berlin. It was a med-nuin-sized 240-horse-powe'r twin-engined German Albatross biplane, fitted with silencers, rendering it capable of rushing through the air almost noiselessly, with four sleepers, a luxurious and electrically illuminated sleeping cabin, in which a uniformed cabin boy is in attendance, washing basin, running water, wardrobes, and saloon. In the daytime the berths are convertible to eight seats.
