AUCKLAND, This Day. The New Zealand amateur billiard championship was advanced another stage yesterday. At the afternoon session "W. B. Hackett beat A. B. Joplin by 394. The best scores by Haekett were 85, 49, and 48. The game between C. Mason,' the title holder, Dunedin, and B. W. Warren was a very interesting contest. "Warren soon adapted himself to the conditions,, while his opponent took a long time to get going. Warren was the winner by 100, making breaks of 24, 20, 20, 36, 25, 28, 44, 20, 49, 33, 46, 35, 22, and 35. Mason's breaks were 23, 21, 39, S7, 52, and 43.

This afternoon F. Keefe aud K. Tate play, and in the evening C. Stewart, Dunedin, meets E. J. Morrison.
