RIMUTAKA WITH IMMIGRANTS.
An arrival in. the stream at 7.20 a.m. io-day was the . New Zoaland Shipping Company's steamer Rlmutaka from London and Southampton, via Panama. The vessel bert-ied at 11 a.m. at King's Wharf, to disembark her passengers, and was timed to sail again at 3 p.m. for Lyttolton, to commence discharge of her cargo. The vessel carried no first or scc-oiid-class passengers, but had on board 353 Immigrants. . . . . ■
The Rlmutalta left Southampton on 17th July, and arrived' at Colon on 4th August. Balboa was. cleared the following day.. The vessel did not call at Pitcairn Island. Fine weather prevailed throughout the voyage. Captain F. A. Hemming is la command, and his officers are:. Chief, Mr. H. A.. Fryer; second, Mr. D. Hughes; third, Mr. G. Saul; fourth, Mr. H. Vernon; surgeon, G. M. Cooper, M.8., Ch.B.; first wireless operator, Mr. C. T. Shearer; second, Mr. A. E. Mugridge; third, Mr. E Stride; chief engineer, Mr. C. L. Hughes; second, Mr.. H. Stevenson; third, Mr. T. Rule : fourth Mr. H. C. Tripp; fifth, Mr. H. J. Jukes; chief refrigerating englneor, Mr. J. Glllespie; second, Mr.'W. Aldwlnckle; electrician, Mr. H Hicks; steward-In-charge, Mr. W. Janes. ' The Rimutaka has cargo for- discharge at Lyttelton, Tiraaru, Port Chalmers, Bluff, and Nelson. . .
