SWINGING BACK TO WHEAT.
Though North Otagb. farmers do not favour soring sowing of wheat bejsause of a belief tiiat results are more than normally uncertain, there has been manifested an unusual inclination to break away from the customary practice this season (writes the "Oamaru Mall). No doubt this has been largely due to *a feeling that lamb fattening is not going to bo as remunerative as for some years past, and that, on the other hand, there is a reasonable certainty that wheat will be ;ood selling property next year. Whatever may be the mainspring of action, however, the certainty is that the spring sowing of wheat will be much larger than usual.
