Five more were produced in the House of Representatives at lust night'a sitting, but none of them should prove to be of a very contcjitlouH nature. They had relation to noxious woods, forests, main highways, unregistered dentists, and Hutt Valley Land Settlement. During the sitting thoro was yet another debato on the unemployment problem, the Minister of Labour announcing that during tho roccßS he would see what could be done in the way of providing legislation for out-of-work benefits. The Bent Restriction Bill was passed after an amendment had been made to extend the present legislation until Ist August next, the Minister of Labour stating that an inquiry would be made as to what was likely to occur if the proKent protection was allowed to' lapse. Tho finance Bill was read a second time, after the Finance Minister had stated that an endeavour would be mado to curtail borrowing as much as possible once necessary; developmental works were completed. Tho Hauraki Plains Bill was also passed, and tho House rose at 12.57 a.m.
