ISSUE OF VALUELESS CHEQUES
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. At the Magistrate's Court, Lionel Bishop, a farmer, of Inglewood, pleaded guilty to issuing valueless cheques, thereby obtaining the sum of £2 19s 6d, and £3, and also benzine valued at 10s 9d, and 9s 3d in money:- He was sentenced to two months' imprisonment on each charge, tho sentences to be concurrent.
