(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMEESTON N., This Day.

During the month of August building permits to the value of £56,816 were issued by the* Borough Council. Of this largo sum £27,000 is absorbed in the erection of a three-storied banking chamber by the National Bank, and £2680 for the erection of a workshop. Twenty-threo permits were issued for new homes, ranging in value from £700 to £4070, and costing in all £22,585.
