MOSCOW, 30th August, Hundreds of people perished when the passenger steamer Burevestnik, leaving Leningrad for Kronstadt, collided with a mole in a dense fog when trying to avert a collision with the German steamer Greyne. A hole two metres wide was knocked in the hull of the Burevestnik, which sank in. fifteen minutes.
