CHARGE OF MURDER

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

TIMARU, This Day

There were few people in the Magistrate's Court to-day when a charge of having murdered Duval Earle England at Makikihi on 29th July was preferred against Owen Joseph Francis M'Kee. The case had been adjourned several times by tho police, and the fact that few people were present in the Court was due to the public not knowing that the case was to be heard.

The accused, who was seated throughout the hearing, took jin interest in alj the evidence that was tendered. Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., was on tho Bench, and the- accused was represented by Mr. A. D. M'Crae. Mr. F. W. Ongley conducted the case for the prosecution. Lengthy evidence was called. ~
