The British Legion Conference showed considerable feeling over a resolution protesting' against the action of the headquarters of the legion in issuing a statement to. the Press calling on all ex-service men to offer their services to preserve law and order on the occasion of the general strike. The -resolution was defeated. The conference passed a resolution in favour of urging the International J?ed-era-tion'of ex-service men to convoke a meeting with ex-seryice organintions of ex-enemy countries which were genuinely working in the interests of peace and goodwill with a view \of devising ways and means for collaboration.
