WANGANUI, This Day. Harold Edward Banks, aged 32, expostmaster lat Ohakune Junction, pleaded guilty to nine charges of misappropriation of money paid into the Post Office by various depositors, the total deficiency being £235 7s ll£d. The accused had been postmaster at Ohakune since March, 1921. Ho was committed for sentence to the Supreme Court. " Peter Lewis Ward, who pleaded guilty to obtaining £6 10s from Charles Larconibe, by means of false pretences, was committed to the Supreme .Court for sentence
