"We will be glad ef ypur assurance that no such transfer will be made, er, in the. alternative, that the Government will not commit itself to the pro-' r-osal' until we h'aye the pppprtunity of putting the case before you personally. If-you are unable to do this, it will be impossible t/> pi-event a public meeting and. strong agitatipnJ' Mr. Massey has replied that, "Ne actipn will be taken until the Dunedin peepleinterested have ail pppprtunity pf seeing me personally." It is expected that Mr. Massey will be here in a fcrtnight.
