GLASGOW MINISTERS

DOMESTIC DETAILS FROM •'DAILY MAIL."

(STDNETI SUN CABLE.) (Received 29th January, 11 a.m.)

LONDON, 28th January. The "Daily Mail" says that there were, various demonstrations in Glasgow on Saturday, in celebration of the Labour Government. Mr. James Maxton, M.P., told the meeting that Glasgow was particularly pleased that three of its ten Glasgow men in the House of Commons were members of Cabinet. The seven outsiders would see that the three insiders did their duty properly. He had had .the honour of entertaining to tea Miv^Wheatley, Minister of Health, and Mr. Stewart, Under-Secre-tary of Health for Scotland. Having no servants, and his sisters being away, he had to ask the Rev. Campbell Stephen, M.P., to wash the dishes of the previous meal, so that Messrs Wheatley and Stewart could have clean cups. "After waiting hand'and foot' on these great dignitaries," concluded Mr. Maxton, "Mr. Stephen arid myself impressed them that, if they did not deliver the goods in their respective departments,\ their lives would not be cast in pleasant, places."
