Henry Stevens, aged 65, a - single man, employed on a farm at Cloverlea as cook,,was found dead yesterday morning. i CARTERTON, 28th January. A County Council employee, Charles Ludford, aged -68, 'died suddenly on Saturday. _ , The district coroner returned a verdict of death; from angina, pectoris. Deceased has no relatives in the Dominion^ He came to New Zealand from Canada. . : DUNEDIN, 28th January. On /Saturday evening a, motoi'-car dnven by Frederick William Richards, an Auckland commercial traveller, collided with a motor-cycle and sidecar. Peggy Mercer, aged 18, who was" in the sidecar, sustained bruises and shock, necessitating hospital treatment. Both machines were badly damaged. Richards stated that as he rounded the corner of 'Princes street into Dowling street, the glare of the setting sun on the wind shield blinded him.
