PARAMOUNT THEATRE.

Long before 8-o'clock last evening, the Paramount Theatre was densely crowded in all part 3to witness the remarkable performance of Long Tack Sam and his troupe of Chinese artists. The extraordinary wprk of these clever people seems even more amazing upon a second visit, and as each startling feat was performed, the enthusiasm of the audience was raised to the greatest pitch. Long Tack- Sam is a host in himself, his genial personality, arid remarkable maginal feats, being to the thorough liking of *ais audience. A most attractive feature; of Long Tack Sam's act is the remarkiible speed' and precision with which the various astounding feats of spinning, 'balancing, contortion, and acrobatic work are performed, and the apparent' ease, and certainty with which extraordinary athletic feats,of the most dangerous kind are done. The clever performer, who revels in a series of astonishing balancing feats on two steps suspended from the roof of the stage, was greeted _ with a salvo of applause. The acrobatic feats performed on the horizontal bar are amongst the greatest performances of the. kind to be seen in any theatre in the world. Long Tack Sam appears twice daily, and ladies and children are urged by' the management to attend the matinees to avoid the crush at nights. The box plans for all performances are at the Utility Stationery Store, next to the theatre.
