TJhe result came as a surprise, as in view of the latter's play in the earlier rounds it was expected that he would be victorious. Both broke down at easy shots. / Brookes and Anderson reached the 'final, defeating Wertheim and Fitchett, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4. Patterson and O'Hara Wood defeated Treloar and Philips, of West Australia, 6-1, 7-5, 6-1
