This morning he inspected Muir's gold reefs at Te Puke,, and, in reply to a request for assistance for developing 7 the 500 ft level, said he would arrange : for a report on the mine by the Government Geologist. Personally, he felt confident !the company should have no difficulty in raising the. capital re-, quired. , . > This afternoon the Minister made an inspection of the harbour, in company with Mr. Godfrey, Secretary of Marine, and Mr. F:' S.-Dyson, District Engineer for Public Works, and leaves for Hamilton en route for Wellington.
