STRAND THEATRE.
The main attraction on the new double feature bill, which commenced at the Strand Theatre to-day, is Warner Broß.' new screen classic, "Where the North Begins." It contains a picture of the Northern wilds, dark woods, savage wolves, life at the solitary 'trading posts, and of a man and a maid whose destinies are settled by a prince of dogs. Rin-Tin-Tin, the clever police dog, .plays in this picture. His acting is uncanny to a degree. There' is a strong plot of love and intrigue running through the play. Claire Adams is the The supporting feature, "Pilgrims of the Night," is the adaptation of one of E. Phillips Oppenheim's clever mystery stories. The cast is a most notable one and includes Lewis S. Stone, Rubye de Bemer, William V. Mong, Walter M Grail, and others. It concerns a group of crooks who have for their leader an exceptionally clever thief known as "The Black Fox." The picture contains considerable action and a wealth of suspense. The supporting programme is excellent and includes Npel Burns in a Christie Comedy, "Be Yourself," and the latest Paths Gazette.
