DAYLIGHT SAVING
LEGISLATION THIS SESSION
EFFORTS OF SPORTS PEOTECTION LEAGUE.
Sports bodies in Wellington and other parts of the Dominion have discussed the question of daylight saving a good deal during the past few months, and the matter has been taken up by the New Zealand Sports Protection League. The Board of Control of the league met m Wellington this week and passed the following resolution: —
"The Board of Control is of opinion that the inauguration of a system providing for daylight saving is desirable in the interests of the community, and invites sports bodies, organisations, and persons favourable to the reform to cooperate_ with the New Zealand Sports Protection League for the purpose of securing the passing of the necessary legislation during the next session', of Parliament."
The league -will arrange as soon as possible, in conjunction with other bodies, a large and representative deputation to the Government to urge^ the introduction of a Bill early in the coming session of Parliament.
