:,DUNEDIN, 21st January. The . body of John Herbert Lewis, engineer to the. Clutha • County Council, was found at Puerua on Friday with a-, discharged revolver lying besid^ it. Deceased was due to go to Queenstown in connection with the Kawarau dam proceedings, but instead he took his car out to a lonely spot on the Puerua River, where the 'body was found. Lewis had been in straitened financial circumstances, and it is thought this had . affected his mind. A verdict was returned that death was due to a wound self-inflicted while his mind was temporarily unhinged.
