WAIKANAE YEARLINGS

One of the sporting events of the week will take place on Friday, when the annual hatch of yearlings from the Waikanue Stud will be soM, at 2.30 p.m., at Mr. Lan Duncan's private stables, Th'orndon quay. They are a well-grown lot of five colts and fillies. The colts include a full brother to Sunshot and Rachael. The last-named will be unlucky if she does not win a race at the meeting. The writer recently inspected the youngsters at Waikanae, ,and picks this colt to bring top price. The colts from Fair Fight, Glen Helen, and Peace are also well-grown, quality-looking youngsters, and will no doubt bring good prices. After the successes of Razzle Dazzle this season, some of the fillies, who are > quite as well-grown as the colts, should sell well.
